All Sailors must be able to swim (w/out lifejacket)

Class: 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Advanced Class: 12:00 pm- 2:30 pm

to fully participate. Absences will affect the progression of your
child as well as the other students in the class.

SSYC Jr. Sailing will be structured similar to last year. We will have two three week sessions of sailing classes that will meet five days a week. Session one begins on Friday June 24th, and ends on Friday July 15th. Session two begins Monday July 18th, and ends on Friday August 5th.
Within each session, we will have a morning class that will meet from 9:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M.; and, an afternoon class that will meet from 12:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. The morning classes are intended for beginners and younger students. While the afternoon classes are intended to be for older and more advanced students.
Our sailing program is open to both SSYC member and non-member children between the ages of 8 and 14. SSYC member’s children will be given a priority for class placements so long as a completed application is received by me before April 1st. After April 1st the classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Non-members are welcome to register now however, as noted above priority will be given to SSYC members on class placements until April 1st.
All students regardless of membership status or age must know how to swim without a lifejacket.
A fee rate schedule is on page one of the registration form. To register for sailing classes please complete one registration form for each child. Then mail the completed registration form with a fee check payable to South Shore Yacht Club to the following address:
